La Provençale Cellars Savories
Our Trittico Basket holds one each of our
three savory products. We have imported olive oil for several years for
our own use and are pleased to combine top quality oil with our own
cider vinegar. When we located this three-part basket and bottles, we
knew immediately that our herb blend would be the third component in our
Savories collection.
A few months ago, we added two sea salt selections
to our Savories collection. We have always preferred pure sea salt in
baking and seasoning foods at the table, and our apple-wood smoked sea
salt is so flavorful that just smelling it seems to add flavor to foods.

La
Provençale Cellars Extra Special Select Cider Vinegar is
deliciously crisp and is great for salad dressings, marinades and any
recipe calling for vinegar. Many of our customers add a couple of
tablespoons to a glass of water each day for its rejuvenating effect.
La Provençale Cellars First Cold Pressing Extra
Virgin Olive Oil is unfiltered, giving it a rich golden hue.
Produced from Spanish olive varieties, this oil is processed in the
traditional manner. A top quality olive oil and cholesterol free, it is
ideal for dipping bread, using in salad dressings, and in any cooking
that calls for oil.
La Provençale Cellars Mélange de Provençale
is a blend of 16 herbs and spices that we blended for many years for our
personal kitchen. When we decided to add this component
to our Trittico Basket Savories Collection, it formed the perfect
cooking trinity. Add to olive oil for dipping bread, to cider vinegar
for marinades, blend with flour for dredging pork chops or chicken
pieces prior to cooking, or rub olive oil over a roasting hen, then pat
all over with our Mélange de Provençale for a melt-in-your-mouth
taste.
The
Trittico Basket includes one 250ml bottle of each of these. We know,
however, that they will not be used up in equal proportions, so we offer
750ml refill bottles of the cider vinegar and the olive oil. The Mélange
refills are in 9 oz. jars.
Fumée
de Sel is a kosher style Pacific flake sea salt that is naturally
slow smoked over real apple wood, giving it a dense, slightly sweet,
fruity smoke flavor. It was hand harvested from the deep clear waters of
the Southern Pacific. This smoked sea salt, with no artificial
flavoring, anti-caking agents or color added is a 100% natural way to
add authentic smoked flavor to any food.
It
is great as a finishing salt with pork, chicken, soups, salads or cheese
dishes. Top
your fresh vegetables, such as sliced tomatoes, with our Fumée de Sel
for a taste treat; add a pinch to La Provençale Cellars Extra Virgin
Olive Oil and Mélange de Provençale for dipping bread. Sprinkle over
roast turkey for a great flavor from the grill or the oven.
Fleur
de Sel is our Atlantic Ocean gourmet sea salt, harvested from blue
waters off the coast of Brazil. The clean crystals from the
evaporated sea salt are then carefully crushed and screened to size in a
state of the art facility. This is high quality, unrefined, pure sea
salt; no anti-caking agents or chemical additives of any kind are used.
It is moisture resistant and naturally resists clumping.
The
hard crystals grind easily and have the full flavor characteristic of
solar evaporated sea salts. Fill your salt mill and use this sea salt in
cooking or at the table to add instant, natural flavor to meats, veggies
or pasta. It is a replacement for regular table salt, and the subtleties
from traces of naturally occurring minerals add delicious nuances to your favorite dishes.
